Reserved; Chris is quite reserved when off-stage. He's quiet, and tends to listen rather than put forward his own opinions. He understands that everyone has their own perspectives and reasoning, and he doesn't get loud-mouthed or violent in anything he does. He's a fairly quiet, nice guy. So what if the band sometimes hate on other people? Chris is okay with it, as long as the backlash doesn't hit him. Honest; Chris doesn't tell lies. What he prefers to do is engage on creative truth-telling, and while he doesn't outright say anything too incriminating about himself, he's very happy to skirt around issues that he doesn't want to discuss and he'll turn the attention back to the person who's talking. He's had years of practise at this. Passionate; If there's one thing Chris loves, it's music. When things get tough, Chris can be found singing to himself, performing, either on stage or in the tour bus, just anything that reminds him that there's something in the world for him. He might prefer singing, but he plays bass for the band because that's what they needed and he's not half-bad at it. He won't hear a bad word against musicians, although, he doesn't exactly fight back because ... Pacifist; Chris is a complete pacifist. He has never been in a playground fight, never fought back violently for anything. He's a calm sort of guy, he thinks that the answers cannot be found in displays of violence. Religious; It probably helps that Chris was raised as a devout Catholic. You'll find him in a local church on Sundays, and while he's not preaching the word of God to fellow musicians and band members, he always remembers the teachings and he works hard. Self-deprecating; It's not on purpose. He doesn't mean to put himself down, but people have for so long that he's found it easier to accept that there are things he cannot master. He's never quite sure of any of his talents until he's told so. Chris' life Chris' life begins in Munich, Germany, where he was born to Alexis, an elementary school teacher, and Edward, a firefighter. At the age of five, his father passed away in a fire. At the age of eight, his mother remarried. The man's name was George Carter, and Chris gained a new stepsister - Callie. Being the same age, and in the same year of school, Chris and Callie got along quite well, finding they had a lot in common, for eight year olds. Alexis and George's marriage, however, was another story. She was abused by her new husband, the children too frightened to say anything. One of Chris' biggest regrets was that he never told someone, because by the time he was ten, he was an orphan; George had been incarcerated for murder, and the children were sent to the nearest care home. Chris and Callie spent two years being passed from foster family to foster family, care home to care home. Frequently, they were separated, despite the social workers' claims that they would stay together. When he turned thirteen, Chris' uncle, Erik, got in touch. To be fair, Chris had been unaware that he even had an uncle, but this was his father's brother, and Erik paid Chris' plane fare, and Chris found himself in Florida. He met Erik's wife, Anna, and his cousins, James and Harry. He was enrolled into a local school, kept to himself, mostly. He never knew the right thing to say to make friends, and he would find himself dawdling in or around the music rooms. A teacher seemed to take pity on him, and she taught him guitar so that he had a legitimate reason to say why he was skulking around the music rooms. At some point in his rather frazzled history, he met the other band members of Forever Cursed. He quite likes touring, and quite likes where he is right now.
