not everyone has to be in a band, and those who choose to pursue a musical career by relying on their own abilities and no one else’s are known as soloists. they come from all sorts of backgrounds and play a variety of genres, but the one thing they all have in common is potential talent. they have all sorts of reasons for going solo such as an inability to work with others or a desire to make it big by themselves and specialize in singing and/or playing certain instruments.
