CHARMING. ACTOR. SMOOTH.
MARRIED. meet nick harlow. he's a bit of a charmer, the smooth-talker, really. he knows what he wants, and he knows how to get it, and most of his business deals seem to happen over a beer (or, well, a beer for the guy he's discussing with - nick is completely teetotal) - but hey, business deals! he's, well, a little bit fake, if we're honest here. in high school, nick learnt how to be anyone he wanted with a well-placed lie and an easy-going smile, and he's taken that to work with him. with no university education under his belt, nick got where he is through pure hard work, so don't mistake him for an idiot. he hails from the east end of london, one of the most impoverished areas, but his mother worked hard to pay for him to go to a private high school. he moved to boston just a few months ago with his wife and child to start managing DJ Gross. some people call him manipulative. others prefer sly. nick denies all claims. friends, nick needs friends to keep everything going. he likes powerful people, who's contacts he can use, but he won't rule anyone out, and he says he treats everyone equally, but mostly, he's easy to get along with. he won't go out of his way to make friends; they tend to come to him. enemies, not only do some people seem to see through nick's facade and claims he's nothing more than a liar, but he does happen to be managing a band that not many people seem to like, so it's understandable that he would pick enemies somewhere, right? not that he doesn't manipulate the media and make the other person look out to be the bad guy. lovers, nick has a lover, thank you very much, and he's happy that way. he has a wife of two years, scarlett, and a daughter, grace, so he's kind of off-limits.

j i n x && n i c kHmm...not quite sure. o: I feel like he might want to get along with her and charm her and stuff since she has a bit of influence in regards to the sort of publicity DJ Gross may get, but they may also butt heads a little because she tries her best not to seem biased when writing regardless of her relationship with the people she's writing about, so she wouldn't really be very swayed to write nice things even if she finds him likeable. Feel free to kill this rambling or add some ideas of your own. xD a p h y && n i c kAcquaintances? She hates making enemies, so she'd never act rude to him or anything, but I don't think they would ever really get around to knowing each other well enough for them to consider each other good friends. Add/subtract? j a v && n i c kThey'd definitely know each other since Nick is the manager of DJ Gross and all, but perhaps they would be frenemies? Jav can be a bit of a stupid troublemaker sometimes, so Nick could get annoyed at him for that, but otherwise I think they would get along fairly well with Jav sometimes curiously questioning how he can bear being tied down by something like marriage at such a young age. Or something like that. xD Add/subtract? |

yes, nick will definitely try to stay on her good side
so he can keep the right kind of news getting out,
and have none of those horrible scandals. XD i mean
he might not consider her a best friend, but certainly
an acquaintance, and maybe, once or twice, i can see
him contacting her in a, "what's the news? what have
i missed?" manner simply because she's one of those
press people whom he knows is going along with the
tour. i don't know how she'd feel about being something
akin to an informant for him, though. >_> y/n?
nick & aphy,
well, he'd treat her nicely enough, and sense that she's
not one he should be annoying, simply because he knows
she's a nice girl. so yes, acquaintances. c:
nick & jav,
ahaha. probably something close to frenemies, yes. xD
nick would roll his eyes at all the stuff jav does and try
to ignore it and be all, "will you just pay attention right
now?" sort of thing. P: but apart from all of jav's annoying
qualities, they probably find a way to put it aside at the
end of the day, for the sakes of jav's fame (and nick's paycheck).

j i n x && n i c kAt first she might be sort of annoyed that he's pretty much using her, but after a little while, she'd probably get used to it since being informant means that at least they're not arguing (and how could she possibly resist his charm? xD) Whenever he calls her for some inside info, she'd probably try to sound all huffy and annoyed before telling him that he owes her coffee in return (since she does love her coffee~). j a v && n i c kJav gets himself into fights and sleeps around a lot, so I imagine Nick would get a handful making sure his reputation doesn't become too bad. Otherwise he'll probably go along with most of the things Nick tells him to do unless he's really against it, which I don't think would be often. c:

ahahaha, exaaaactly. and he said he'd buy
her coffee anytime, really. he's secretly addicted
to the stuff himself, so it's not like he's going
too far out of his way. P:
nick & jav,
to be fair, nick rolled his eyes in my head. i
think he expects jav's behaviour, mostly. i was
thinking maybe these guys could thread, 'cause
obviously nick checks in at certain places to ensure
his band aren't, you know, dead or anything, and
maybe he can say the band has an interview or
something? idk, i'm just trying to think of a legit
reason why nick bothered to visit. P:

Nick and Jack Erh, hello there... He's a photographer so they may meet for business with his band but that's really all C: I don't actually know if they would ever get around to become friend though. add/subtract/hate/love? Nick and Pierre I'm powerful! sorta...well rich, would that count Eh, Pierre isn't going to be all RAWR! your from the other band sort of thing. Though he has connections? So he could be that friend with connections all over the place for Nick? even if most of the said connections are probably french Also, maybe Nick can help deflate that bimp-size ego of his that sings I'm sexy and I know it all the time. C: So Nick can be a friend that helps Pierre be more modest around and shiz. God knows that Pierre needs more of those with his stupid ego... add/subtract/hate/love? |

yes, i think they're probably a sort of vague acknowledgement
of one another, without really talking all that much. P:
NICK & PIERRE
they can be friends. c: despite the fact nick doesn't know french,
he can still use powerful connections. i can imagine nick somehow
knowing pierre's mother through nick's wife and being all, "hey, hey,
your mom wouldn't want you to be a manwhore." P: he would try to
keep pierre's ego down. he knows how bad being egotistical can
get. XD

So these two could go both or one of these two ways. They could either hate each other because Nana is crazy and all over the place and she would see him as annoying if he tried bothering her or they could be good friends. She doesn't talk back and is surprisingly respectful in person though she doesn't speak all that much, especially about herself. I think these two would get along only because she manipulated her way into the position she is today and her ex husband is the lawyer to the wealthy celebrities and such. They could have met before hand-who knows? She still has his last name which was literally the only thing she took in the divorce and so I'm guessing her would know it well enough since the guy was way up there famous-though she wasn't up until now. LET ME KNOW! C:

well, first, he said to call him nick, not nicholas. P: -gets that out of the way first- but i think he's more likely to play the friends card, because it's a lot easier for him to have friends rather than enemies. i can see sort of comfortable silences and after the antics of javier around him (what with their frenemies thing, so he never knows if javier's going to be alright or not), he's be super thankful that he could just tell nana what's going on in terms of shoots and interviews and stuff. they might have met beforehand. nick's not very powerful on his own, but his wife has contacts all over the place, so i imagine he recognised the name before he recognised her. y/n?
