Sunrises were definitely worth staying up and watching, but hardly anyone knew that. Saskia knew, and as she could easily prosper on two or three hours of sleep a day, it was usual for her to watch the new day begin. But this time it was different. Even if she wanted to, she couldn't fall asleep. There was too much on her mind – uneasy thoughts that she couldn't put together to find out what was really bothering her. Something was not right, if only she knew what it was...
Everyone was asleep, dozed off on buzz and coke and who knows what ,after long night of gigs and partying. Some people passed out in their own beds, some did in a beds of some lovely strangers, someone was sleeping in a middle of a parking lot and only Saskia couldn't find her place, so she decided to give up on sleep, and got ready for a new day instead. It was still a little dark, as she was heading to the city, but the sky was getting brighter with every minute. She was trying to balance on a thin curb - imagine a gymnast on a balance beam. Ten points for Saskia Ernst, representing Los Angeles, California!
When she finaly got out of the parking lot, a thought crossed her mind - what the hell was she going to do that early in a day? The town looked almost abandoned. She kept walking, this time in the middle of the street. Almost like a mission on Mars – trying to find some life on an unfamiliar land.
