ANAIS ENYO ARGYROS, TWENTY-ONE, MATCHWORK-PHOTOGRAPHER, HETEROSEXUAL, INDEPENDENT Anais Enyo Argyros (Ah-na-EESE Enn-yo Ar-gi-ros). French and Greek. Anais is a handful. She often is unpredictable, and often times can be a bit over-bearing. While she's not into peer-pressuring others Anais is often known to be amazingly outgoing and capable of influencing others. While she may enjoy the party scene Anais is actually a really good person, underneath all the bull. She genuinely cares for others, at least for those she lets get close to her. She's also one to not let others get walked all over and is determined to make a difference, one day. Overly friendly especially under the influence of alcohol she moves with a purpose and a serious confidence. Anais hardly lets anyone or anything get her down or get to her, call it a built in self-defense system. Anais is often the protector of those who are either too shy to stick up for themselves or just ignore it. She's demanding but can be anyone's friend so long as they don't attempt to change her or push her into things. Anais is addicted to music of all types and thoroughly loves her job as a photographer. She takes creating stunning images seriously and is always searching for the next perfect shot. A bit of a hellion yet down-to-earth at the same time Anais is a complicated paradox who strives to keep in mind what's important in her life: photography and staying true to herself. Because in the end, Anais believes you only have yourself. the history Anais was born in Athens, Greece to two adoring parents. Luckily enough for the girl her parents were adventurers of sorts and worked as cultural anthropologists so at a young age Anais was able to travel much of Europe. With a French mother and Greek father it who were both heavily dedicated to their countries of origin Anais was graced with a French first name chosen by her mother and a Greek middle name chosen by her father. Though she remained an only child Anais was far from lonely, often times easing into new schools as her parents traveled with finesse. When she was ten her parents gifted her with an item that would come to influence their beloved daughter, a camera. Though it was a cheaper digital camera to Anais, it was the best thing ever gifted to her. By fourteen her parents had managed to purchase the girl a newer cannon model, one made specifically for taking detailed and artistic photos. Anais' dedication to photography grew and she spent hours messing with settings on her camera. It was a way to express feelings, a way to preserve a moment in time. When Anais was fifteen and entered grade nine her parents finally settled down in Athens once more, choosing to do research work on the nearby wonders of the world and educating tourists on the rich culture. The sudden setting down of roots provided Anais with for the first time in her life a secured setting, no constant hopping around Europe and islands near-by. It was also insanely dull compared to the life she'd lead. When she was seventeen Anais' parents had taken what was supposed to be a day trip to a nearby island only to have the plan crash in a freak storm. At the age when Anais would've been thinking about going onto college and such she was suddenly left alone, with no one to turn to. Anais' parents had long since lost all their family members and there was nowhere for the seventeen year old to go. She became a ward of Greece, allowed a pension each month to survive on. Since her parents had never considered a will due to their young ages their daughter was left relying on Greece and shelter houses. Too old to even be considered for adoption the country allotted money each month until Anais was old enough to no longer be looked after by the state. By that time she'd successfully gained a minimal education, throwing away all plans of furthering her education. Anais had also learned the harsher side of life when left homeless and without any real friends to depend upon. The only thing that saved her was her incredible photographs which she sold in flea markets until she'd saved enough to move Stateside. Once in America Anais hired on as a photographer for a band going on tour, and began to adjust to a different lifestyle where she wasn't always expected to depend upon herself. KAT!, 18, PM! |
