LAINA MARIE ROSEWOOD, TWENTY, EYES OF HYSTERIA - MAKEUP, STRAIGHT, PROTECTIVE A DREAMER! From her birth, Laina was a dreamer. She couldn't stop using her imagination, not that it was a bad thing. Little girls always pretended to be princess, right? Princess, rockstars, or her favorite--a movie makeup artist. As she became older, she didn't let go of these dreams. She wanted to travel the world, which perhaps wasn't as much of a far-fetched idea as her dream career. Yes, Laina wanted from a young age to be a makeup artist. Her parents hated the idea. They knew, if she tried, she could become something like a doctor, a lawyer, or at least something that they knew she could get a job in. She definitely had the smarts for it, but not the passion. She graduated high school early, at seventeen, and went straight to college. Since many colleges don't actually offer degrees that would help with her dream career, she went to a technical college and got her degree. Honestly, it wasn't needed, but it would help. Her parents were happy that she at least went to college. Surprisingly, Laina was hired right out of college by the band Eyes of Hysteria. Though it wasn't her movie-star goal, she'd accept it for now. She still dreams of being a movie makeup artist, but she's quite happy with her spot at the moment. THE HOPELESS ROMANTIC! Laina's one of those girls that dreams about finding the perfect man. Her dream boy. She doesn't really have any specifics at the moment, except that he can't be boring. She wants someone with an interesting job, someone with humor, and someone sweet. Maybe even a hopeless romantic like her (though she'd never admit she was). She's someone who would prefer taking a casual walk rather than watch a movie, just because it's more thoughtful. Laina actually had a brief relationship in college; it might have been her need for romance that ended it. His name was Jeremy, and he seemed...perfect. But when it came to being romanced, put simply, he sucked. The idea of a romantic date was a movie, and he much preferred simple things. Like dinner at home, and...Laina didn't like it. It wasn't what she wanted, and so she broke up with him. She hasn't has a relationship since. INTELLIGENT GIRL! Despite choosing a career in makeup, Laina was actually a grade-A student. Her parents pushed her to the point where getting a B in a class was pretty much unheard of in the Rosewood household. Unfortunately for her older brother, that wasn't the case--he barely got B's, and seemed to hate Laina for her "intelligence". Because of that, the two weren't close, but Laina didn't really mind. At the time, she'd been more focused on her schoolwork, obviously. Had she not chosen a career in makeup, Laina actually would have chosen something in medicine, though probably not a doctor. Her parents are unhappy that she "wasted" her knowledge, even though she's happy. If you didn't realize it; Laina's not too close with her parents either. ORGANIZATION FREAK! Laina can't stand messes. Everything needs to be perfectly in order, in a way that she understands. Often, this isn't even how most people would understand. Her nail polishes are actually in alphabetical order, not color, because she enjoys memorizing the names. She likes organization because that leads to neatness, which means she has room to breathe. Some people like to tease her because of this, whether it's in a good or bad way, but Laina could care less. She doesn't care what people think of her, especially when it comes to her organizational methods. PROTECTIVE OF HER PALS! Now, if you happen to insult her friends to attempt to do anything to hurt them, you're going to have to deal with Laina. She won't allow anyone to talk badly about them or even touch them in a threatening way. Laina would actually attempt to "beat up" anyone who tried, though she's probably not the most threatening person. Or the strongest. However, the last time someone insulted her friend, they ended up with a broken nose. It was back in high school; Laina and her friend Hanna had been talking when some girl just walked up and insulted Hanna, right out of the blue. When Laina said something about it, she just repeated herself. And that's what made her furious; she didn't even apologize or try to deny it. So what came next? Well, Laina punched her in the face, broke her fake little nose, got suspended, and yelled at by her parents. Not the best thing, but Laina didn't regret it. She's always going to be protective. SHARP-TONGUED BEAST! Laina...can be a little bitchy. She speaks critically of others, and tends to talk sarcastically often. Usually, she doesn't really care what she says about people and lets herself say whatever comes to mind. Sometimes it's bad, sometimes it isn't. Laina can get in trouble for her sharp tongue, but nothing's ever stopped her from using it. Usually, Laina is optimistic, but there's always the one day where she's in a terrible mood thinks negatively. This is perhaps one of her most unattractive traits, but she can't really help herself.
