BASIL AIDEN THORTON, 19, EYES LIKE HYSTERIA- BASSIST, STRAIGHT, HEADSTRONG I AM WHAT I AM Headstrong;; Basil is headstrong. He follows what he believes in till the end. People can't easily change things that he believe him because of this. It's one of the reasons why he sticks to looking at people skin deep instead of just looks. Cheerful;; You can insult Basil as much as you want, he would still smile at you. He never takes anything to heart and therefor looks for the silver linings in every situation. He's the type of person who goes and tries to make everyone laugh and include everyone in a conversation. Of course insults that are directed to his close-friends is a whole 'nother can of worms. DREAMER;; He spends his free time trying to strive towards his dreams. They could be the most outrageous to simple ones. Basil spends his time dreaming of the what-if's of the world. SCARED;; Basil can be a slight wuss at things, such as horror movies. It may be because of certain unmentionable happenings when he was younger, but he get's paranoid after watching horror. His friends find it hilarious at his expense at his expense. He also holds onto some more childish fears such as the dark and being in enclosed spaces in the dark, all with good reason though. CHIVALROUS;; Seriously, don't tell him that chivalry is dead. He's been into the whole gallant deeds and protecting fair maidens deal since he was young and his mom read him the story knights like Lancelot. So he's quite polite when it comes to women, never flirting or leading anyone on without doing it so 'properly'. Of course he virtually does not flirt since he has a girlfriend. He would protect any maiden from a gang of thugs though. PASSIONATE;; Music was his dream, is his dream, and will always be his dream as far as he's concerned. Basil lives and breathes music and can't imagine a life without it. He's passionate about it, he would play on hours on end just to perfect a song. He tries o pour his soul and emotions into what he plays. HISTORY IN THE MAKING Basil was born in a normal family to middle class parents. His father was a office worker and his mom was a chorus teacher in his school. He got into music thanks to his mom and his dad fully supported his interest. Who cares if my son isn't a athlete? I got me a musician he would say to his friends. He took -- well tried too -- take chorus. He discovered that he was horribly shy when it came to his singing voice and it would come out as faint breaths whenever he opened his mouth. Basil's mom decided to let him start instruments. It started with piano, he fell in love with it. That was when he thought that he wanted to be a musician. After, it was the cello in the school's orchestra and then bass in a garage band that really didn't go anywhere. He did pick up guitar, but he really only dabbles on it mainly focusing on his other instruments. Basil also met his best friend in school. She always seemed to be alone and well, Basil disliked having people being left out. With her under constant bullying and no one talking to her, he decided to be his friend. Of course, some of the bullying was dragged onto him because of his affiliation but it wasn't anything to bad. They would say he was the guy with the weird name or the guy who's name is after a herb. Nothing to bad, he would just smile and tell them how to correctly pronounce his name and move on. They were petty insults and the verbal harassment ceased as he grew older. He wasn't very popular because of it but he didn't care. Of course, apparently since he was a guy it gave the other guys an excuse to be physical. Such as the time when he locked in a dank closet. It took ages for someone to let him out but it made him develop the fear of the dark and a slight case of claustrophobia. Though that stopped as they never got a spark out and so he was simply ignored. He never attended college, which his dad wasn't all too happy about, and persuaded his dream.
