[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Anais grinned at the bartender, holding up a finger to single for another drink. Tonight her poison was merely beer, something that was low-key for her partying habits. But at the same time, she wanted to be lively enough in the morning to snap some shots of the band practicing. And Anais knew that being hungover would do little to encourage her aspirations to get up early enough to be presentable. While waiting for the bartender to produce her drink Anais took the time to adjust the flashy silver shirt that adorned her chest and glanced down at her skinny jeans and black heels. To be honest, this was also toning it down in her book, her hair was down and cascaded about her shoulder and there was nothing that shouted 'let me seduce you' about her appearance. Running elegant fingers through her redish-brunette hair she thanked the bartender with a sly smile as he handed her a bottle of beer.
Taking a long swig she turned her back to the bar and eyed the crowd amassing on the dance floor. She'd gone out tonight by herself, making no effort to lure others into coming with her. Anais didn't mind, often times she preferred to be alone. Because when she was alone she was less vulnerable then when she was in a crowd of smiling faces. No one of much interest stuck out to her, and the idea of dancing held little appeal for the moment. Sighing she shifted back to the bar, taking a long swig of her drink before shimming her slender form onto a bar stool. Might as well become and obeserver and wait for something interesting to occur. Drawing in a calming breath she once more took a drink from the beer, allowing the numbing sensation to calm her nerves. Of course she was limiting herself tonight, as she did most nights. Though Anais was well accostomed to drinking it didn't necessarily mean that she enjoyed not being in control. The truth was far from that. The Grecian watched with calmed eyes as bodys molded together on the dance floor, a slight smile adorning her face. Perhaps the night would prove entertaining, maybe. tag: Derek <3 word count: 366 lyric credit: colbie caillat notes: Sorry it's a bit crummy! |

A tall, skinny lad brisked himself into the doors of a club. What was he doing there? He didn't drink, didn't party, he had no reason to be at such a place. Perhaps another band member had told him to go there? He couldn't recall. The male was simply wearing a black t-shirt with some blue skinny jeans and vans. Pretty much as casual as someone could dress. As soon as he caught sight of the bar, and the people almost glued to each other dancing on the floor just a few yards away, he almost immediately regretted going inside. Derek slid his hands into his pockets as he moved his way through the occasional person to the bar, where he sat on one of the stools. A bartender came up to him and asked him if he wanted anything, and the male quickly yet politely shooed the man off. Derek felt uncomfortable in this place, he was surrounded by alcohol. It seemed to be laughing at him, tempting him.
He shifted awkwardly in his seat as he looked around, surveying the people that surrounded him to get his mind off of that thought playing in the back of his head. Derek kept quiet, no need to interact with anyone. He didn't seem to know anyone there anyways. Maybe he should just leave, there was no point... Scratching the back of his head, Derek took another one look around at the people, and one girl stood out to him. He didn't quite know why, her presence a couple of seats down at the bar caught his attention fully. A few moments had passed and Derek was still surveyed the woman. She looked so familiar to him, he knew her.. He was sure of it. The male's eyebrows furrowed as he almost strained himself trying to think of how he knew her. The band, maybe? ... "Anais Argyros." the name slid off his tongue perfectly as he said to himself. He rewarded himself with a small smirk of accomplishment as he recalled her name, and her being his own bands photographer! How he could forget her, he didn't know. She was quite the sight.
With a sigh, Derek had the incredible urge to walk over and talk to her. They hadn't spoken before, but he assumed they knew of each other. The singer also remembered that the band had a photoshoot the next morning, and perhaps they'd meet there... But tonight was such a good opportunity. Derek was split, he wasn't sure what to do. If some way, he could get her attention... As he spun back around to face the bartender, he waved a little to catch his eye. He spoke softly to the worker, telling him to give a drink to Anais, describing her almost perfectly, and saying it was on him. Slipping the bartender the money for the drink, he watched as he handed the beer to the photographer. Derek stood almost completely still, waiting in anticipation, which almost killed him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Her beer had taken her only a matter of minutes to clear, and she was two drinks away from her cut off point of four. Her goal was to be numb, not end up splayed about the floor like an idiot. Setting the empty glass down Anais was shocked to find the bartender handing her a new one. At her raised eyebrows he nodded down the bar to where a dark haired male sat and said that he'd bought the drink. Immediately Anais turned her full attention to him, her dark hues focusing in on him as she quickly recognized him. One didn't forget a face like that, and certainly not one that they photographed on nearly a daily basis. Shifting out of her seat and grabbing the beer she confidently strode towards him, moving through the groups of people clumped together at the bar. "Derek Sullivan"
Anais greeted him with his own name, enjoying the flow of it from her mouth. Her foreign accent pulled liltingly at her lyrics. Smiling warmly at him as she settled her slender form onto a stool beside him she took a moment to appreciate his features. Of course, as a photographer she'd oogled him many a times, had even directed exactly how light should hit his face and body, and had at multiple times probably made a pest of herself during the shoots. She knew so much about his physical traits, yet was a little put off by the fact she knew next to nothing when it came to who he really was behind that handsome face. "Thanks for the beer, it's nice to actually know who it is who bought it for me." She smiled once more, her Greek accent laying behind her words. Many times Anais had mean't to interact with the band on which she made her living, and while she'd hung around other members she'd never before interacted much with the singer.
Glancing around them as more people filled into the bar she shifted her body closer to him in order to avoid a drunkerd attempting to order more alcohol from the bartender behind her. "What brings you here?" The club was a familar haunt of hers, an easy way to pass the time. Plus, the beer was cheap. Not that she was an alcoholic or anything, but the need to 'let her hair down' as the Americans said, occurred sometimes. Taking a sip of the beer she watched him closely, her dark eyes fastened upon his face. "As your photographer, I'm going to lay down the law. Not alcohol for you tonight. No need to put the makeup artist in a tither and cause me extra work." Anais winked, merely guessing at the possibility of him drinking. She was aware the others did but when it came to Derek she was learning that she knew next to nothing about him and who he was.
Finally realizing the close proximity of their forms and how her slender knees pushed into his own legs she shifted her form slightly, feeling a weird tinge of loss from the contact. She barely knew him, and Anais had no intentions of bedding the lead singer of the band she photographed. That'd be an awkward morning after situation. Finishing the beer she placed it on the bar, smiling as the bartender took it away and asked if she wanted another. Denying the additional beer she shot a grin at Derek. "I guess since I'm saying no alcohol for you I should stop and not be such a hypocrite." She shifted once more in her seat, turning her body to face him completely, awaiting his voice to one more pour from his lips that she couldn't help staring at. tag: Derek <3 word count: 623 lyric credit: colbie caillat notes: Aww xD |

It took Derek a while to process the thought of Anais actually standing up and walking over to him. He had just thought she would have nodded her thanks, and be done with it. It surprised him that she even noticed him, a little tinge of guilt that he didn't notice her right away. He shifted again in his seat to face her approaching frame a little more. He offered her a warm smile as she sat down at the bar stool next to him. When she spoke his name, he couldn't help but flash his eyes back to her lips as his name strode off them perfectly. As Derek took another good look at her, he recognized her fully now. She had taken many photographs of him and his band, although they had never quite talked. She was always too busy running around, frantically trying to get the correct lighting and such at photoshoots.
As she thanked him, he couldn't help but smile a little more and nodded his head. It wasn't exactly quiet in the bar, with many people looming over them, listening in on them even. Drunken people hit the bar for more alcohol, and the stench of their breath was unbelievable. As Derek turned to face Anais a little more, closing the gap between them a little more that someone could easily interrupt. His chocolate colored eyes look back up at her as she spoke to him again, this time a question. He laughed a little, his naturally timid state was exposed. "Well," he huffed, looking down at his hands that were toying with a string that hung off his shirt. It itched at him, that one little string. Continuing, he said "I honestly don't know what I'm doing here. I guess.. My feet just carried me to this club."
Derek met her eyes for a moment, before looking back down at his shirt string. "I'm sorry that probably sounded stupid." he said quietly, probably barely audible over the loud dancing and partying of the drunken people. He sneaked a glance at the beer in Anais' hand before looking up at her once more. He couldn't help but notice her almost perfect features as his eyes danced across the complexion of her face. A small chuckle came from his body when she instructed him not to drink tonight. "Don't worry Anais, I can guarantee I won't be drinking at all, ever." he replied with a smile, hoping she wouldn't ask questions or even feel sympathy for him.
He watched her as the bartender took away her empty glass of beer, eyes fixated upon the glass. A lot of times Derek was tempted to try any kind of alcohol, whether it be beer or tequila, or hard liquor even. He was just so scared of the outcome that he preferred to stay away from it all together. He was around the temptations a lot, and while he felt a little uncomfortable at some times, he knew he was taking the higher road and was ultimately okay with being around it a lot. His band is perhaps the epitome of partying, after all.
"You can have another if you want, on me of course. I don't mind. My intentions weren't to come here and drink, anyways." Derek spoke softly, his voice slightly raspy from his exhausted state. He had a feeling it was going to be a long night.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Anais grinned at Derek, her complete attention given to the gorgeous male before her. The warm smile he'd greeted her shook her, almost visibly as she stopped thinking for a moment and smiled warmly back. Pulling herself from her stupor she felt taken aback. Never before had Derek ever smiled at her like that, and for some reason she loved the fact that he'd given her such a beautiful smile when it was like pulling teeth when she worked photographing the band. Resting an arm and hand on the bar and leaning casually in it Anais decidedly made her decision for the night. She'd refrain from more alcoholic beverages and figure out just what made the vocalist and guitarist to the band she photographed, tick. At least, that was her goal for the night. As he spoke to her Anais listened back, the shifting of bodies close to hers not even throwing off her unwavering attention. She also noted that he played with a loose string on his shirt, either intimidated by conversation or her. Anais guessed it was the latter considering she'd hardly interacted with him aside from on a professional scale. She also didn't miss how he turned his body more towards her, in attempt to at least create a bit of area where the crowd in the club couldn't invade.
Shooting him another smile she began speaking, her lilting tones accented with her Grecian accent. "Maybe you just needed a night of fun and didn't know it. Either way I'm a firm believer in fate so I certainly won't be holding you back from having a fun night aside from having a fun sober night." Anais laughed as she spoke, her greenish-blue eyes dancing with humor as she watched him. "Bah. It didn't sound stupid at all to me." As he agreed, easier then she thought he was going to, about not drinking Anais grinned. "I promise not to corrupt you then. As your photographer, you're my new favorite. And I'm sure you're the make-up artists' favorite." She smiled broadly, shifting closer to him to avoid more people coming to order drinks, her knee once more touching his. Only this time, Anais kept her knee against his, fully enjoying the warmth from the contact. As a born and bred European she knew that her idea of personal space and an American's idea of personal space was completely different. Anais was used to being closer to people, whereas she was fairly sure that Derek was shy. Somehow she found that trait adorable.
"Nah I should refrain. I don't want to be taking your picture tomorrow and get nausceous when I have to adjust lighting or something." Turning her head towards where the bartender was standing nearby Anais motioned him over, giving the bartender a wide grin when he came almost immediately. Gosh she loved being a regular. Asking for two waters she gave the bartender a tip, and turned back once more to Derek. "Lesson number one: keep the bartender happy and you can get whatever you want." She winked once more at Derek, grabbing up her water as the bartender set the two glasses down. Pushing the extra one towards him she gave him a soft smile. "Lets make a deal. I'll show you a good time tonight if you promise to actually smile a little bit for me tomorrow?" Of course she was a bargaining woman, but Anais wasn't ready to fully admit the real reason for her deal. She desperately wanted to get to know him. And she certainly wasn't about to admit that outloud at the moment.
Waiting for his reply she shifted her glance down to her hand resting still on the bar table and took a long drink from the water. Perhaps she was being selfish but when she saw his exhausted look Anais frowned slightly. She had the potential to get to know someone new, and being such a social person she fully planned on getting to know him. Jumping up from her bar stool she beamed at Derek. "Alright rock boy, lets see if you can dance as well as you can play your guitar."

Something about Anais' Greek accent made Derek just want to keep listening to her talk. He couldn't help it, but his eyes refused to leave their lingering place on her lips as she spoke. He seemed completely oblivious to anything else around them. The far beyond drunken people didn't seem to notice, or care, about their presence too much either. The people stumbling around, almost face planting to the ground because they cannot walk straight quite reminded him of his father when he would return home after a late night of drinking. Derek's eyes dropped, but not even another second passed before he looked back up Anais again. He vowed to himself at that moment that he would have a good time tonight. He wouldn't think about anything but what was going on in the present.
By the time that Derek realized that Anais had stopped speaking, he took a moment to recollect everything that she had said. He may or may not have gotten lost in her voice... or her looks, by that point. And at that point, Derek was almost at a loss for words. He couldn't help smile a little to himself as she announced him as her favorite. He's never been told that before, even if they didn't mean it. Sometimes Derek was a total softie.
Only a few seconds later did Derek notice the feel of Anais' knee colliding with his, and for a moment he glanced downward to observe, but then looking up at the girl with a small laugh. And as he got unusually quiet, Derek watched Anais call the bartender over for two waters. He smiled again, grateful that she didn't try to order any alcohol and that she got the message. For the most part, anyway. Taking up the water in his grip, the tattooed covered boy took a gulp of the water before setting the glass back down on the table. "Ha, I guess it's a deal then! I really don't think it's going to be much of a problem for me to be smiling tomorrow." he laughed, another sip of water streaming down his throat.
Derek could feel his shyness slowly starting to slip away from him when he was around Anais. Sure, he didn't have much social experience and was probably so awkward for her right now. But, he couldn't help but feel a little bit.. Natural, when it came to her. And they've only been actually speaking for a few minutes. He felt the need to let himself go tonight, at least a little. Derek grinned as she jumped out of her chair and seemed to challenge him to dance. The tall frame followed her lead and got off his stool, the wide grin spreading almost from ear to ear. "Oh my god, Anais. This is going to be a disaster.." he laughed a little. He honestly thought of himself as a horrible dancer, the only way he could possible express himself was through music. "I'm really not much of a dancer, don't laugh at me!" he said as he began to shuffle through the large crowd of people towards the more center of the club floor.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- He seemed to appreciate the gesture of the water, and Anais mentally wrote that down for a later time. Plus he was old enough to drink, he'd been admitted to the club, so he was either seriously against it or had some bad memories. She guessed it was a bit of both. Anais certainly wasn't one to judge others and she always had a great admiration for those that held off from most human vices. In a world that was consistently trying to pressure you into things it was amazing that some where able to hold off and refrain from falling under the peer pressure as it'd been dubbed. As he agreed to her deal she smiled brightly at him, glad he'd at least accepted her offer. Anais had begun to think that maybe he'd bail out, she knew for a fact he never intended to meet his photographer at a club and end up hanging around her. But she was grateful he had.
"Please. Look over there, see them over there? They're not only in denial of their ages and most certainly suffering what I think is called a 'mid-life crisis' - they also seem to forget that this is no longer the 70s. But, in their own strange way they're adorable." She followed him through the crowd and reached out for his hand to stop him as she nodded towards the older couple, clearly in their late thirties, making strange disco moves as many observers laughed around them. Tossing a grin to Derek, Anais spoke again her lilting tone clear even in the rush and madness of the dance floor. "So see? We'll be fine. And I promise I won't laugh at you, we'll laugh at ourselves." She grinned again, her hand suprisingly warm in his. Finally realizing that she'd actually grabbed his hand Anais kept hold of it, reveling in the feeling of being connected to him. If Anais wasn't in such denial she might say she was starting to really like him.
"Only a few songs. Then I promise we can return to the bar and people watch." She grinned again, moving her form closer to hers. Bringing her body close to his Anais felt shocked by the warm shiver that ran across her skin but refrained from putting too much thought into it. She was merely going to spend the night dancing and getting to know the guy who she photographed on a nearly daily basis, there was nothing wrong with that. Right? As a rock song came on, one quite popular to most lovers of the genre, Anais began jumping to the music with the rest of the crowd, smiling and shifting closer to Derek and singing the lyrics to him. Her foreign accent pulled at her lyrics, the song sounding foreign in her mouth even though it was a number one hit. Grinning sheepishly and squeezing his hand she spoke once more. "I know you have to put on a bit of a show on stage to keep fans entertained, show me your moves D!" She laughed, humor clearly visible on her.

Derek couldn't help but feel fuzzy inside as Anais grabbed his hand to stop him from continuing through the crowd, to show him the elder people dancing and having fun, living their lives no matter how many people laughed at them. He smiled at them as well, a small laugh escaping his throat as he looked back at Anais. Derek's tall figure loomed over her, and he couldn't help but stare. He didn't know if it was the way the club's lights hit her or what, but he couldn't look away from her. The idiotic smile across his features wouldn't disappear either. When he remembered that his hand was still connected with hers, his gaze was broken and he looked down shyly.
Only when the girl brought her body closer to his did Derek's cheeks start to get red. He wasn't accustom to this type of interaction, let alone any interaction at all. But somehow he couldn't erase the smile that played across his almost angelic features. A certain song came on that almost everyone knew, including Derek. Whether he is involved in the genre or not, he knew almost every word to the song that was booming throughout the club. He couldn't help but joyfully laugh as Anais started jumping around and singing the lyrics to him. At her words, Derek couldn't help but move himself along to the beat of the music. He was a performer, and sang in front of people on a nightly basis, but he couldn't bring himself to express himself like that in front of Anais. Perhaps it was his quiet, shy, reserved nature coming out again but he surely couldn't perform in such a manner. Besides, performing on a stage for hundreds of people wasn't the same as dancing in a club.
No matter what Derek did, he couldn't shake the shy feeling that engulfed him that night. He didn't regret going to the club, meeting Anais, he was actually really glad he did. But he wasn't very outgoing when it came to this. He preferred expressing himself in a different way, mostly through lyrics. Derek really did enjoy the feeling of Anais' hand in his, and felt her squeeze tighter as she grinned at him. He smiled bigger at her, and shifted his body to the music. It didn't take him a very long time after that until he started singing the words back to Anais, that full smile still shown across his face.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- The warmth from their still joined hands raced up her slender arm, a wide smile glowing on her lips as she gazed up at Derek. The man was way too good looking for his own good, and she couldn't help but wonder exactly how things would play out between them. Anais was a party girl, had been known to bring a few guys back to her private quarters for an over-night stay. And by morning they were gone and life went on. Yet Anais literally worked for him, and her job was the most important thing to her. She took pride in her photographs and relied on the income from her position as the bands' photographer.
Stepping closer, drawn to him as he sang to her Anais reveled in the sweet and melodic sound of his deep voice. It was haunting, creating a moment she'd never be able to dig out of her mind. Not that she'd ever want to. Reaching up her free hand Anais lost her battle of self control and ran her finger across the rose tattoo on his neck, stopping her fingers' downward sloping trail at the hem of her shirt, drawing her hand back to her side as she turned her light gaze up to his face, purposely avoiding eyeing his lips. "That's my favorite." Her lilting lyrics reached out towards him, their bodies close enough that Anais had full confidence in her voice being heard. She was starting to like Derek. She loved the feeling of his form close to hers, loved the way he sang the lyrics back to her in his endearing voice, and loved that he came off as shy. It made her think of him as innocent, something untouched and dying for education.
Not moving her body away from his she copied his movements, meaning to humor him in a kind way since the male certainly wasn't putting on too much of a show. Anais was beginning to realize she knew little about the handsome guy before her even though she had taken pictures of his face many times. The dull, flickering light of the club and the sweating bodies crushed together excited Anais. This was humanity at it's best, everyone moving and releasing their emotions in the forms of dance and freedom. Freedom from every-day life and it's constant stresses. Perhaps that's why she loved the atmosphere so much, because here everyone could be anyone they wanted to be and not have to worry about it the next morning. "Tell me something about yourself D." Her words were simple, her Grecian accent pulling gently at her words as she gazed at his face, resisting the urge to run her fingers through his hair. "I promise I don't bite!"

Every time Derek remembered the touch of Anais' hand in his, the feeling of her body pressed against his, it sent so many feelings up his body. Electricity, spark, any word you want to use to describe it is what he was feeling. This feeling only god worse when Derek felt the small girl's hand on his neck, tracing his tattoo of a rose. No matter what happened to him, he couldn't stop staring into Anais' eyes. A few times his chocolate brown gaze flickered from her eyes to her lips, but returned after a few seconds. He only smiled when she commented on the tattoo being her favorite. The boy was covered in tattoos, the only place he didn't have tattoos was the bottom half of his legs.
Derek was completely oblivious to the people around the two, getting closer to surrounding them and their sweaty bodies pouring out everywhere. At this point, the only thing that Derek cared about was Anais and spending time with her. He honestly didn't care that they barely knew each other, other than her occupation as his bands photographer. They were almost always with each other, daily, and after tonight Derek had the feeling that when she was taking pictures of him, he wouldn't have a single ounce of trouble smiling anymore. Just the thought of her gorgeous face made his face light up. He hated to admit it, but he felt something towards her already. He barely knew what that feeling felt like, he was always independent and had never had any kind of relationship before.
Anais' words caught Derek by surprise, he was almost completely lost in her eyes before he snapped out of the kind of trance they held. "Oh, uhh, something about myself?" he pondered, a small smirk crossed his face. "Well, I'm an excellent partier, if you couldn't tell." Sarcasm pulled at his words, humor clearly visible in his eyes. He honestly didn't know how to answer her seriously, he wasn't any kind of expert in talking about himself. "I can't just tell you things about myself, dear, you're going to have to learn by experience."
Derek winked at the girl as he towered over her, his face and body slowly edging it's way closer to hers as the surrounding people almost seemed to be pushing them together. Secretly, Derek hoped that Anais would stick around in his life long enough to find out about the things that no one else knew, if she really did want to find out more about him.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- She was drawn to him, like a moth to a flame. Anais was enchanted by the tattooed male before her. And it wasn't just his looks. He seemed genuine, and gentle. Like he'd never harm another because of some unknown reason. He also witheld from alcohol, an amazing feat for someone his age. Of course she knew all the minor details about him, his name, eye color, and that he was one of the few males on the tour who didn't sleep with every female that came along. He was different, and she was beginning to really admire that. Admiring someone had never been Anais' problem. It was growing to love someone and being upfront about it that caused problems. She abstained from dating simply because the thought of being tied down, to be under someone else's control, scared the shit out of her. For the last several years of her life she'd had to rely only on herself, never had to worry about another person aside from herself. In Anais' mind, love only caused issues as did dating.
So she'd resorted to partying, going out and having fun with others without really having to worry about consequences. No one came to a club and expected a one-night-stand to last forever. But Anais knew that she'd have to refrain from dragging Derek to her bed. She worked for him, and she certainly wasn't going to put her income on the line. As the bodies next to them crushed them closer together Anais grinned at Derek, her outgoing personality ruling over her independent side. Who was to say they couldn't have fun and at least strike up a friendship? Raising her arms above her head she placed her arms on his shoulders, drawing her body flush against his and dropping his hand in the process. Warmth raced across her skin, goose-flesh raising up on her pale arms but Anais ignored it.
As he spoke with sarcasm filling his voice she beamed up at him, his towering height perfect enough for her to be close to him and still watch his face. "Ha! I can see you do get out alot, maybe I should be taking lessons from you." Anais winked, her eyes dancing with mirth as she watched Derek, fully enjoying his company. The thought of learning from experience caused a strange feeling to pull at her, causing Anais to shift slightly against him. He'd just made mention of experience, meaning that they'd be around eachother as more then just professional. The thought caused Anais to let out a laugh, her tones drifting up to him. "Sounds far enough. I'm going to say that from this experience you're clearly a party animal and should really learn the proper way to take a girl out on a date." When he'd winked at her, Anais had once again begun speaking, trying to tamp down the warm feeling that was causing conflicting things to float around in her mind. Grinning at him and winking back, Anais moved her palms closer towards his neck. Like they had a mind of their own, her fingers began stroking his hair, reveling in the softness of it.

As Anais got closer to him, he felt there was little to no space in between them as the people around got closer and so did the pair. His tattooed hands couldn't help but snake their way down to her hips, as her hands gently caressed his neck and fingers began to touch the tips of his dark hair. Derek could barely process what was going on, and as he furrowed his eyebrows to pause and fully think through the situation, his hands slightly lingered at the small girl's hips.
Derek wasn't one to depend on other people, but he was one to be slightly hesitant and shy at times. This was definitely one of those times. His independent nature went hand in hand with his lack of social skills, because he didn't have many friends or family around when he was growing up. Even being in such a successful band, other than fans asking to sign various parts of their body and occasional get together's with the band, he was alone most of the time. Playing guitar, writing songs, and just generally adoring the silence. It got quite lonely after a while, which could possibly be the reason Derek ended up at the club. Or perhaps it was fate, if there is even such a thing.
"A date? Who said anything about a date?" he poked fun at her, humor dancing on his facial features as he smirked widely at the dark haired girl in front of him. As the lingering touch of her fingers on his neck sent unknown sensations through his tattooed body, he refrained from thinking anything of it no matter how much he wanted to. As she worked for him and his band, anything beyond that would be completely unprofessional, right? Whatever feelings were arising in his mind were quickly shoved away, simply because he had never known this feeling before and didn't know how to react. Derek has never had to rely on anyone but himself for anything, and the simple thought of anything changing that wasn't going to come easy to him.
"If you really wanted a date, all you have to do is ask." he smirked larger, another joke arising from his darkly toned, raspy voice. In reality, Derek would extremely enjoy a date with Anais, no matter how much he wouldn't admit it to himself or anyone else.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=style, background-image:url(http://i56.tinypic.com/2zgu9hc.jpg); width: 440px; padding-top:10px;]there's no sunrise --- Anais paid no real mind to what she was doing. In the back of her mind she knew she was possibly starting something that she'd be unable to stop. The thought clawed for her attention but she was so focused and intune with him that it kept getting shoved back. The night was harmless, she had nothing to fear from the shy tattooed boy. They'd both return to their very seperate trailers and her life would be made easier by the fact that maybe he'd smile more often for her when she photographed the band. Anais had learned that the only real person she could depend upon was herself, and the only one who could protect her was herself. Or so she thought.
The feeling of the tips of his hair against her fingertips and his hands resting on her slender hips caused a chill to run through her, and a smile to adorn her lips to hide the fact that she was frightened of the tattooed boy because of the feelings he was causing her to have. As he spoke Anais smiled up at him, purposely avoiding looking at his lips for fear that she'd give into the impulse to touch her lips to his. "Making me do all the work eh? You don't play fair!" She grinned once more, enchanted by the male before her. She'd always prided herself on having relationships with no strings attached, maybe she could have something like that with Derek? Despite how awkward it might be if things didn't work they were both professionals and capable of handling themselves.
With that thought solid in her mind Anais spoke up once more. "Alright lazy pants. Would you like to take me on a date? I mean it's kind of hard to interrogate you in a club." Not that she didn't mind the close proximity of their bodies, in fact, she reveled in it. She'd never before asked someone to take her out on a date, never had cared before. But something strange was happening, he was dulling her wits. "And D, if you tell anyone that I had to ask you to ask me on a date, I'll hunt you down and pour water on you when you're sleeping." Of course she new the location of the bands' bus, and certainly would have no issues getting into it. Grinning at him Anais winked, her fingers still playing with the tips of his dark hair.
