Despite Javier’s undeniable popularity with members of the female sex, he could easily count all the girlfriends he had ever had on one hand (at age twenty-two, he had only ever had two meaningful relationships). Though he often liked to brag about the sex appeal he supposedly saturated the air with and the myriad of moments of meaningless sex he had experienced, his luck with true love was really quite lacking. Perhaps his past experience with that particular emotion and its effects had jaded him from feeling it, but what he did know was that when he said that he loved a girl, he truly meant it, and that was why only two women ever heard that three word phrase uttered from his lips. Unfortunately, his first love left him for her ex-boyfriend, and his second love dumped him (quite brutally), saying that being committed to him was a waste of time because he would never change his ways. At this point in time, he discovered that he did not want to be in love anyway; all he wanted was to get laid, and if he could achieve that without the trouble of beginning a relationship, then why not do so?
As a result, it was fairly questionable why he was wandering around aimlessly by himself on the grounds at seven pm. At such a time, he shouldhave been hanging around in a club with his arms draped around some nameless girl with only partying and having a good time in mind. It was also questionable why the only thing on his mind was asking out his fellow band mate. She was a certain Nana Fenty, and the only things he really knew about her were that she had a good voice, and she was damnably gorgeous with blonde locks that he liked to run his fingers through and a body that he admired often with his hands. They had a perfectly healthy relationship with the way they sang together onstage and spent a good number of nights sharing a bed together, so why ruin it with something like dating? He couldn’t quite explain it himself, but he had the sudden urge to break out of his status as a single man to temporarily take on the role of someone who was taken, and he couldn’t think of anyone better than Nana to help him with that task.
There were no declarations of undying love or a yearning for spending forever with Nana, but Jav was very certain that she could be just like him sometimes, making her the ideal girl to ask out. She wouldn’t take their relationship too seriously, and if she caught him sleeping around with other girls (which he was ninety-nine point nine percent sure he would do), she wouldn’t scream and throw a fit. If they broke up (which would eventually inevitably happen), that wouldn’t mean that DJ Gross would be wrecked because there wouldn’t be any hard feelings. He liked the sound of that. And for more personal reasons, she had a certain way of reminding him of a certain other female that he often pined for (secretly, of course), but that was a whole other matter altogether.
That was how he now found himself strolling carelessly, hands shoved into his jean pockets, but his muscles were tense and ready because there was something stressful about asking a girl out. He had sent her a text message not too long ago, asking her to meet him on the grounds, and he could only hope that things would turn out reasonably well.

Nana had been in the shower when she received the text. Of course, being she was all soapy and wet, humming to herself some music blasting from the little radio on the counter, she hadn't noticed it. Getting out a few minutes later, she blow dried her blonde hair to it's usual, natural beach waves and then checked her phone after seeing the little green light that indicated sh had a text unread and waiting just for her. Walking out of the bathroom of the tour bus, she headed down the narrow hallway to the large bedroom and rummaged through her suitcase. Meet at the grounds? Jav? That was interesting. Thinking she wouldn't be out for long, she grabbed a random chunk of clothing and slapped it on. It was hot outside so she just slipped on some high waist studded shorts, platform sandals, and a stringy cropped silk black top so part of her abdomen showed. She didn't bother for a bra. Sh planned on going to see what Jav needed and then coming back to get dressed and go out clubbing. Hell, she might even just stay that way. Her boobs were perky but she didn't like that her nipple piercings would become prominent once it was colder later tonight. She shrugged though and put on her favorite watch, bracelet and then pulled the tiny silver cross necklace out from behind her shirt, the one she never took off. Once ready, she was out the door already pulling out a cigarette and lighting it up.
Personally, Nana would prefer to go see him if she was high or drunk. She didn't like herself sober. Though she was still energetic and the life of the party, she was just too quiet. She didn't like talking when bodies could talk. Why used vocal chords, precious ones, that she needed for singing? Her platform sandals clicked on the pavement as she headed to where Jav said to meet her up, taking a deep pull from her cancer stick and blowing it out in a stream into the night air. She'd just gotten back not to long ago from seeing Katy, which had been more than just magical within itself, but it was a new night with new possibilities. She wanted to just have fun, honestly. She knew, essentially, that was why she and Jav got along so well. They were almost the same person, minus a few key factors here and there. If they weren't, they probably wouldn't be able to put up with each other like they did. She liked him-he was fun, outgoing, extroverted to the point where he wasn't obnoxious which was a relief because if he was, he'd get many glares from her direction. Plus, it was a nice touch that he was talented. Talentless people were boring.
Reaching the grounds in all her long legs, perpetual golden tan, blonde glory, her blue feline eyes landed on him as she tossed the already finished cigarette to the ground and waltzed on over to him, "Yo," she greeted simply with her think Barbados accent before she pulled him in for a hug, connecting their hips first before connecting their torsos, "Whats up?" she asked as she pulled away, putting her hands in her back pockets. She felt at ease around him and despite not being the most talkative type of gal out there, she was sure she got her point across most of the time with the few blunt and brutally honest words she used. She was wondering why he needed her. Maybe he just wanted to go out and needed a wing man. She would be down for that. Anything to keep her mind off the imposing thoughts of a certain cute female in the back of her mind.

The seconds and minutes ticked by almost agonizingly slowly while Jav waited for Nana to arrive, and he began to felt a little doubt about asking her to be his girlfriend while he paced. There were so many what-if’s and unknowns in the future, and his predictions were usually more wrong than right, so why was he even trying to go with his gut feeling on this one? On most occasions, he had nothing to lose, but this time he had a few things at stake. The band, for one, was being put on the line, and it was sort of stupid considering he did have a fine appreciation for his music even if he didn’t make it obvious. Second, he was putting his friendship with the blonde on the line as well. Sleeping with her out of convenience and singing with her probably wouldn’t mean much in the eyes of others, but all of that made him feel a certain closeness to her. To be honest, a good part of him enjoyed her presence because she was a pleasant sight to look at, and he was pretty grateful that he was essentially friends with benefits with someone as gorgeous as her, but on a deeper level, he felt like she understood him. They didn’t need hour long conversations to let everything out into the open; they simply gave each other looks and an unspoken agreement would result. It wasn’t the sort of connection he felt towards most women, and it wasn’t something he wanted to give up. And besides, she had known him for years and understood all his quirks and flaws and accepted them. That wasn’t to say she knew every little detail about his life (and he didn’t ever plan on telling her anything that wasn’t on a need-to-know basis) which likely contributed to why they got along so well, but the time they spent together was still an important factor to consider. He reached the conclusion that she meant something to him and reiterated what he already knew: he wasn’t in love with her, and he likely never would be.
Nevertheless, his life would be terribly boring if he weren’t a risk-taker. Despite the consuming fear of bad consequences, there was something exhilarating about putting important things on the line for a gamble. Jav had a certain love for that feeling, and it simply wasn’t in his personality to shy away from the things that confronted him. That wasn’t to say he usually got what he wanted—it was usually the opposite, now that he thought about it—but he knew himself well enough that if he didn’t take a chance now and just ask her out, a nagging feeling would bother him until he did, and why wait and feel uneasy when he had the perfect opportunity now?
It seemed his contemplating made time fly by because when he ended that train of thought, Nana had arrived. She glided over with a certain grace to her step that reminded him of that of a dancer’s and greeted him with a single syllable before pulling him over for a hug. Their hips connected first, and the action reminded him of why he liked her personality so much, though it also tempted her to forget about the whole dating idea and instead suggest that they head back to the tour bus to spend some quality together in a bed. He refrained from doing so and told himself that he already gave her the impression that he needed to say something important, so he couldn’t change his mind at the last minute and put them back in square one.
Taking a deep breath, he forced himself to remain looking passive and relaxed as he asked, "Do you want to be my girlfriend? I’m not asking for some cheesy line about how you’ll love me forever. I just miss dating someone, and I figured you’d be the best choice."
For a second, he felt like he had spoken enough, but his split-second reflection upon his last few words prompted him to add a few more lines to explain himself a bit. "Open relationship, obviously. I don’t think either one of us want commitment. Overall, it won’t be much of a change of pace from our usual relationship. The only difference is that I’d be calling you a girlfriend instead of a friend, and I would possibly treat you out to a meal every once in a while. What do you say?" He didn’t sound as smooth and confident as he had hoped, but he figured he made his point effectively enough and in a manner that was both brutally honest and polite. Now all he had to do was cross his fingers and hope, though he stuck with doing the latter. Literally crossing his fingers would make him feel too desperate than he cared for.[/blockquote] tag;; Nana word count;; 8 1 6 muse;; Good~ notes;; Not much to say except that Jav sucks at asking girls out? xD[/blockquote]

Running her fingers through her blonde hair, she didn't expect much from him. He said it was important and as the words left his mouth, she cocked her head a bit to the side in interest and curiosity, a soft smile crossing her features as he seemed to put his words together. Once he was done, she chuckled and then shrugged, "Okay," simple and fair enough. She never really had a boyfriend before and she figured it would be the same as not having one only with the addition of sex on a regular basis or a semi regular basis. With ease, she grabbed the loops of his jeans and pulled him closer to her, running her lips over his own and smiling mischievously, "So as my supposed boyfriend," she locked her eyes onto his, "Does that mean I can call you whenever I want to do whatever I want with you and vice versa?"
Of course the only thing on her mind would be the physicality of the relationship they were diving head first into. She found no problem with what he asked of her. She wanted to have fun just like the next person but she didn't understand relationships much so he'd have to walk her through it. She was used to everything but the actual dating part. She didn't go out to dinners or anything of that nature. She usually just met the person, let them ramble about themselves and then she screwed them. Truthfully she would have preferred to have been high or drunk or a combination of the two in this exact moment so she could freely glomp him right there on the grounds without any care in the world. Let the people take their photos. It would make a nice headliner and give them some free publicity negative or positive.
They were DJ Gross and they did whatever the hell they wanted, "Like right now? she bit on his lower lip a bit. She could go for some Javvy right now. It would definitely take her mind off a certain other female that had been clouding her thoughts and dreams lately-the few dreams she did have when she wasn't blacked out.

Things had gone considerably better than Jav had expected. That wasn’t to say he predicted she would freak out on him for suggesting something like dating—quite the opposite, actually—but she agreed with such ease that he felt silly for having gotten so nervous previously. Nana had given him a simple one-word answer, and though he had almost expected something more, the simplicity of her response seemed suitable for what their relationship would virtually be. They would conveniently be together as an item without the troublesome emotional attachments that he would have disliked anyway. Besides, attempting to give their relationship deeper meaning that it had would likely be disastrous anyway. Neither of them seemed to be very fond of the concept of commitment, and if they were really attempting to get a grasp on the abstract concept of love for each other, there would likely be all sorts of bitterness, followed by a dramatic break-up that he didn’t have the patience to deal with.
For some reason, he was still attempting to analyze different aspects of their new status as a couple, and quite frankly, he was growing weary of attempting to act so thoughtful and philosophical. He welcomed the pleasant distraction of her dragging him closer by his belt loops and the feel of her lips against his. Gladly parting from his thoughts, he glanced at her and couldn’t help but to smirk a bit when he saw the mischievous little smile on her lips. It was making it hard for him to resist just taking her face in his hands and kissing her until they were both breathless and eager to shed off their infuriating layers of clothing. As if it were some sort of impulse, he placed his hands on her hips, pulling her a bit closer simply because he liked the feel of her body against his. He stared into her blue eyes as she inquired what he would essentially be doing for her and her for him. There was technically more to being a couple, but those details didn’t really apply to them. Nodding, he murmured, "Yeah, pretty much. There’s not much more to it."
As an afterthought, he added, "And I sort of take you out to do something every once in a while as my treat, and I will sometimes, but I think you know me better than that. It’s not in me to act like a gentleman." That wasn’t to say Jav was unwilling to treat her to dinner whenever it suited him to do so, but he just couldn’t imagine doing it too often. He was pretty sure they would have sex a little more often, but he wasn’t interested in limiting himself to just her company, just like he was sure that she wouldn’t want to tie herself down to him either. Something told him that he should have been a bit concerned about how nonchalant he was being about carelessly entering a relationship when he had been serious about the few previous ones he had, but he was certain that he wouldn’t wind up more serious than he intended. There wasn’t any room to allow for that, and he currently didn’t house the emotional capacity to love anyone but himself and sometimes his sister. It felt safe to say that he could rest well-assured that dating Nana was more of a fleeting amusement than anything that required too much effort and attention. A certain mutual agreement had been reached as to the shallowness of their newfound status of being taken, and once that was done and over with, she asked a short, three-word question. The meaning of her words was clear and precise, and he grinned. They always did whatever they wanted without thought or consideration. It was the way they functioned. As she nipped at his lower lip, he distractedly muttered, "Yeah, right now." He leaned closer and pressed his lips against hers, hands moving upwards to slip under the hem of her shirt a bit, fingers brushing against her skin. This was another one of the reasons he liked her so much.[/blockquote] tag;; Nana word count;; 6 8 6 muse;; Good~ notes;; Not the best, I apologize.
