It’s finally February 7, 2012, and that means we’ve been open for a good four months! We had a little panic about a month ago with activity, but now that those lousy midterms and exams are over, WUU is back and better than ever, and here’s an update to keep you all up-to-date with what’s going on behind the scene!
o n e . ACTIVITY! As all of you have seen, we have just wrapped up an activity check, and some inactive members have been cleared out to make space for future new members. Please, please, please stay active. I cannot tell you how important this is. I don’t mean you have to spit out a billion posts a day. One post a day for each of your characters would be nice, but we understand that you’re busy. Nevertheless, I don’t want to see people creating a whole bunch of characters if they can’t keep them active. Let’s face it. Random, unused accounts just lying around are no fun. I’m not saying that everyone is being lazy or anything, but just please be aware that it’s unfair for members to create characters if they don’t bother using them.
t w o . RULES! Following the idea of better activity, keep your eyes peeled for an update of the site rules soon. We started out with pretty lax rules, and it’ll stay that way, but we staff members just want to make things a tad bit clearer. I promise we won’t demand anything unreasonable, and when the updates are made, any questions, concerns, or disagreements can be discussed with any staff member in a private chat.
t h r e e . OTMs! As some of you may have noticed, there were no OTMs for January, and that’s just because we were recovering from a hiatus, therefore it would have been difficult to vote for someone. Rest assured that we’ll be holding one for February though!
f o u r . EVENTS! So the bonfire board is just sort of lingering though, but please keep in mind that it will be coming to a close this Friday in order to make room for a new event we have planned for February. Try to wrap up your threads, and if you’d like to continue a thread after the bonfire board has been moved, please notify a staff member and we’ll make arrangements to make this possible. In the meantime, we have a lovely event planned that goes along with the whole theme of love and romance that comes with Valentine’s Day, and sign-ups and information about the event will be posted sometime these next few days.
f i v e . SKIN AND LOCATION CHANGE! Quite obviously, we had a skin change just recently, and we all owe our tanks to this beautiful new skin to the amazing Kerrie! Seriously, she’s amazing, everyone. I mean, LOOK AT IT! Ahem. Moving on. So yeah. Lovely skin. As you've noticed, she's joined the ranks of staff members because she's been a major help, so everyone give her a big welcome! Also, we just moved locations to Buffalo, New York, site of the stunning Niagara Falls. We’re going all out for the theme of Valentine’s Day! And we finally decided to make the tour movements less messy by adding a lovely picture of our current locations along the sidebars.
f i v e . ICC! Did anybody ever notice how we had no ICC rules, but we never had an ICC? I mean…uh…what are you guys talking about? We’ve always had an ICC! It was just invisible! I swear. It’s always been there. Aha. But yes, we now have an ICC, and we also have a Tumblr for the site as well. You can find the ICC here and the Tumblr here!
So that's all for now! We're alive and thriving, and anyone can feel free to help us advertise around because advertising makes the invisible WUU goddess all happy and smiley. I'd also like to give honourable mention to Kat because she's epic and just plain awesome.
